Trellis Serves the Autism Community
Helping Kids Reach Their Unique Potential
Our Story
At Trellis, our founder imagined a place where children with autism could learn to navigate the world with joy, confidence, and independence.
In 2001, Dr. Kathy Niager brought that vision to life. She created Trellis to help children with autism and related disorders experience learning as something fun, playful, and interactive. We use proven educational and behavioral approaches rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). Every child in our care receives a treatment plan built on data, science, and a deep understanding of their unique needs.
For more than 20 years, our dedicated team has worked hand in hand with families across Maryland. More than 1,000 families have trusted us to support their child’s growth.
Trellis is part of LEARN Behavioral, a national organization that believes in the potential of every child with autism. We know that parents and caregivers are a child’s first and most important teachers. We are here to guide, support, and work alongside you to help your child thrive.
Local Services, National Resources
At Trellis, we provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) services in Maryland as part of LEARN Behavioral, a national leader in autism treatment. LEARN specializes in contemporary ABA, tailoring treatment to the unique needs of each child.
As part of LEARN, Trellis offers the best of both worlds — the personal touch of local care with the strength of a national organization driving innovation in autism treatment.
Our local and national clinicians bring the latest research, strong professional support, and insights from one of the largest behavioral health data sets in the country. With data from treating more than 25,000 children over more than two decades, we make evidence-based treatment decisions to deliver personalized, effective care.
At Trellis and LEARN, we’re committed to providing the highest quality ABA care —grounded in science, backed by experience, and focused on each child’s unique needs.
Diversity, Belonging, and Acceptance
Trellis knows we’re not all the same.
We recognize and celebrate the diversity of individuals who make up our team. Our tailored approach to care is at the core of what we do. That’s why we’re committed to fostering a culture that embraces what makes us each unique. We know that different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds create a stronger environment. This is why we are dedicated to fostering a culture that is open-minded and encourages collaboration between people from all walks of life. We pledge to create a community centered around trust, respect, tolerance, and empathy. Together, we’re better.
